  1. To get started read the 'Quick Start Tutorial' located in the help file.
  2. On the 'Tools' menu, click 'AutoNaming' to change the name of the font.
  3. You can't install a font with the same font name twice, unless you first uninstall the previous one.
  4. You can open one of the last font files you worked on by choosing it from the Reopen Files list on the File menu.
  5. The pop-up menu (right click) often has commands specific to that window.
  6. You can undo every action by clicking the Undo button on the Standard toolbar.
  7. To repeat the last command used, select 'Repeat' from the 'Edit' menu.
  8. Before you can change points, you must first select 'point mode' from the Mode menu.
  9. You can copy selected samples into an 'glyph edit' Window by dragging and dropping.
  10. The Font Creator Program displays a toolbar button's hint when you point to the button.
  11. You can view these tips at any time by choosing 'Tip of the Day'from the 'Help' menu.
  12. To add your own Tip of the Day, use Windows Notepad to edit the fcp.tip file in the folder where the Font Creator Program is installed.
  13. This is the last tip. You can turn them off now.
